Deep Tissue and Sports Massage
As an independent practitioner with over 30 years of experience, I target specific issues—like tight hamstrings or stiff shoulders—to help you train harder, recover smarter, and perform at your peak.
Deep Tissue Massage uses slow, firm pressure to release deep tension and break up scar tissue, while Sports Massage adapts techniques to your sport or activity. From pre-event prep to post-workout recovery, each session is designed to optimize your body’s potential and keep injuries at bay.
We start with a thorough assessment of your posture, mobility, and movement to create a plan just for you. A client assessment will include a range of exercises that will allow me to observe your posture & symmetry, flexibility and mobility of the muscles and joints along with your range of movements through passive, resistive and active movements.
Advanced techniques like myofascial release and trigger point therapy target problem areas, ensuring you stay agile and pain-free, ready for your next challenge.
Step up your game with personalized care that supports your active life.

When the body gets working appropriately, the force of gravity can flow through. Then, spontaneously, the body heals itself.

Deep Tissue Massage is a powerful therapy for athletes dealing with muscle tightness, strains, or lingering soreness from intense training. Using slow, deep strokes, it targets inner muscle layers and connective tissues to break down scar tissue, reduce tension, and improve mobility. Ideal for addressing issues like tight quads, stiff lower backs, or post-injury discomfort, this technique prevents injuries, enhances recovery, restores range of motion, and promotes long-term muscle health, so you can keep pushing your limits.
Sports Massage is designed specifically for active individuals like runners, swimmers, gym-goers, or anyone who demands more from their body. It blends advanced techniques to support your training and performance goals, including:
– Myofascial Release: Releases and restores the fascia, the connective tissue around muscles, to improve elasticity lost from repetitive motions or overuse, boosting flexibility.
– Trigger Point Therapy: Eliminates painful muscle knots that can limit performance and strength, using targeted pressure to relieve referred pain, often for good.
– Muscle Energy Techniques: Employs active contraction of the muscle against a resistive source and is mainly used to improve range of motion, joint mobility and enhance flexibility and strength.
– Soft Tissue Release: Targets localized tension in tendons and fascia to improve mobility and ease discomfort from repetitive motions.
Sports Massage adapts to your needs with four key approaches:
– Pre-Event: Delivered 15-45 minutes before activity, it stimulates muscles that will be exerted during the activity to optimize performance and reduce injury risk.
– Post-Event: Applied within two hours of your workout or event, it flushes toxins from tissues to speed recovery and minimize soreness.
– Restorative: Supports ongoing training by preventing injuries, allowing you to train harder and improve personal bests.
– Rehabilitative: Accelerates healing from injuries by increasing blood flow and reducing inflammation, getting you back to your sport faster.
Every session begins with a detailed assessment of your posture, flexibility, and range of motion to tailor the treatment to your sport and goals. Whether you’re managing tight calves from running, shoulder stiffness from swimming, or soreness from the gym, I use precise techniques, working just below your pain threshold with guided breathing to keep you comfortable. Optional add-ons like massage guns, hot stones or cupping may be included at no cost to enhance recovery.
You may feel mild soreness for 24-48 hours as your body clears waste from tissues—a sign of effective treatment. Drinking water and taking a warm bath will help you feel refreshed and ready to train again.
With personalized, expert care, Deep Tissue and Sports Massage give you the edge to recover quicker, move stronger, and excel in your sport.
